The Clean Up Story

I started writing "Clean Up" about a friend of mine who had a drug addiction. Basically just taking down notes, I wrote down all of the symptoms that I spotted. I was then able to see the signs all around me. The behavior of the people I would encounter ranging from homeless people, to common people to police officers. The first part of the book actually explains many of the tell tale signs that you would see in someone who is an addict. In the second part of the book, the story branches off into a fictional tale that is captivating and thrilling. I hope you like it!

July Review

Let me start by saying, my preference for reading usually includes fantasy or horror, I normally do not read drama literature, books or stories. After reading this short story I must say it is excellent change of pace for my reading perspective. At first it may seem a bit far fetch for a person to sacrifice his/her life for a friend, but as story progresses what you get from it is that the person was only satisfying a deep dark hunger that was just waiting to be fed, which made me have more appreciation for the story. So in the words of a non-literary scholar, I would recommend this short story for a change of pace in this world of published books/stories that do more to confuse, rather than tell a story from one's perspective.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat! As I flipped from page to page, I found myself not wanting to put the book down. It makes you wonder, how far would YOU go for a friend in trouble?

This short story is a spellbinding page turner that you don't want to put down. I can in no way do this book any justice in a simple review. IT IS A MUST READ. It is as simple as that, don't take my word for it, read it yourself.

Great short story, Five Stars!

As one friend watches the other throw his life away on drugs he decides to do whatever is necessary to save him. But once he enters the world that used to be so foreign to him, he finds himself making choices that may bring him to his own demise. He quickly realizes things are not as simple as they seem and the line between right and wrong is blurred. Sometimes it is hard to know who is really the victim and who is really the criminal.

A great short story that is both entertaining and intriguing and brings you not only into the world of drugs but into a world where things may not be as they seem. A world where someone can go from being a helpless witness to a willing participant and capable of acts he never thought possible. A quick, easy, read that gives you insight into not only how drugs can ruin lives and make criminals but how friendship can make a killer.

Clean Up

 The streets were empty. There was a downpour drenching everything. I drove up to the red light and stopped there. All I could hear was the rain beating down on the metal of the car along with my windshield wipers and sporadic thunder. As I was waiting for the light to change, I was startled to see a man standing on the median. I had not seen him as I was pulling up to the light and I jumped in my seat! He was under an umbrella, which he was holding in one hand. In the other hand was a stack of drenched newspapers. No other cars or people were anywhere to be seen. We were alone. He walked up to my car holding the umbrella so it would block the rain if I opened the window. As I rolled it down, the man had a big smile and started to say something... BOOM! A thunder blast sounded just as I pulled the trigger. The loud thunderbolt masked any sound that came from my gun. I got him in the head, but he was on the ground still alive. The sound of his suffering charged me with energy and filled me with satisfaction. I shot him again to end it and drove off.

Everybody in every situation believes they are the good guy. I'm sure you are already thinking of scenarios in your head. If you are intrigued about what I am, read the rest in the new book "Clean Up".
